Mountain River School is thrilled to announce a Winter Carnival & Nordic Ski Race to benefit the MRS Tuition Assistance Fund.

The Carnival is free of charge and will feature fun winter activities for kids, including: obstacle courses, sledding & snow sculpting. Food will be available for purchase.

The Nordic race is open to competitors ages 3 to adult. Race entry fee includes an MRS water bottle. Entry fees are:

$1𝟶 for children ages 3 - 14 years old
$2𝟶 for ages 15 years and older
(cap of $5𝟶/family)

Proceeds from this event will support the Mountain River School Tuition Assistance Fund. Here is some more information about the Fund:

The MRS Tuition Assistance Fund provides needs-based assistance to families to offset the costs of tuition and school activities. The Fund currently supports close to 50% of our K-8 students with a total of $75,000 awarded in the 19/20 academic year. The awarded amount was limited by funding and demand was significantly higher. MRS is committed to developing and maintaining a diverse community of students and families that represent our place in north-central VT. For the 20/21 academic year, our goal is ambitious – to increase the Fund by 50% for a total raised of $150,000. $150,000 will support approximately 20 students. The Winter Carnival is the kick-off for this annual campaign. Please join us! (and, all donations are tax deductible!)
