Jan 23, 2020, 4 to 4:30 PM

The Family Place at The St. Johnsbury School is pleased to host two short presentations for parents and care givers on the importance of mental health in adolescents. Join us on January 23rd and 28th from 4 - 4:30 pm as we host Bailey Rinaldi, A Senior at StJA who has developed this program as part of a Capstone project. Bailey will speak of the importance of expressive arts, as well as the importance of nature, and mindfulness practices. Participants will leave with a basic understanding of anxiety based in brain science research, as well as an information packet that contains further readings and a self care plan. This event is to kick off programs at The Family Place planned for March with a focus on mental wellness - watch for announcements for our peer to peer support group - "Is it Anxiety?" Hosted by Jen Nelson, School Counselor. Please contact lkozar@stjsd.org for more information or to reserve your spot.
