Herp Program at the Coop

Past event
Apr 5, 2014, 1 to 2 PM

The Hunger Mountain Coop will sponsor a public program, "Spring Herpin'!", from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. in the Coop's Community Room. Through a slide presentation, participants will be introduced to the ecology of local herps (reptiles and amphibians), how to locate and ID them in the field, and how you can make a contribution to the conservation of these extraordinary animals by submitting your own observations to the VT Herp Atlas (vtherpatlas.org).

While we’re all there on Saturday, at the Coop, we can look at setting a follow-up date to hold a hike in Hubbard Park to explore for reptiles and amphibians, most likely in the next couple of weeks. So if you can bring your planners with you that will be helpful.

Families are welcome. Pre-register by signing up at the Coop or by calling 802-223-8000 ext. 202. If you get Krystal's voice mail, please leave her a message with your phone and/or email address. Program Fee: $12 Non-members, $10 Member-owners, $5.00 Children.
