Good Day Gentlemen and Ladies: The new Hartland book group, Gentlemen Prefer Books is back. For those of you who participated last spring I hope you found it interesting and provocative. For everyone who is interested in reading that highlights our region, its people and issues, I welcome you to join us this season. BTW, this group, despite its name, is open to all genders.

Our featured book for January is Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout, winner of the Pulitzer Prize. This is a portrait of life in the small coastal town of Crosby, Maine. It takes the form of 13 interrelated short stories. Copies of the book are available now at the Hartland Public Library.

The discussion group meeting for this book will be on Feb 6 at 7:00 PM. We will meet in the Community Room at the Hartland Public Library.

I look forward to discussing this book with all of you and to moving forward with this winter project. Any questions please contact me by return mail or the # below.
