Jan 17, 2020, 1:30 to 3:30 PM

Please sign up now for a free workshop at Castleton Free Library during the next school early release day, which is Friday, January 17th.

This program, aimed at older school-aged kids, will focus on the Civil Rights movement with an emphasis on visual documentation and graphic novels (targeting 4th - 8th graders, but anyone with an interest is welcome.)
The two-hour program (from 1:30-3:30 pm) will include a short slide talk, quick review of books, and a drawing session. Students will experience the power of the pen (and colored pencils) as tools for artistic expression and communication on important issues, and will work through several drawing exercises. All participants will receive free books. A light snack will be available, including a cup of cocoa with optional marshmallow.

Sign up with kids' name(s) and age(s) at castletonfreelibrary@gmail.com ,468-5574, or via Facebook. Contact Jan if you have any questions. Hope to see you!
