The Hirschfield International Film Series returns this Saturday January 11th with a screening of An Elephant Sitting Still. Please join the Film and Media Culture Department in Dana Auditorium at 3pm and/or 8pm. This film by the late Chinese filmmaker Hu Bo has won 17 awards and was nominated for 39 different awards at various film festivals in 2019. It has been included in many different "Best of 2019" year end lists and is sure to make an impression on you well beyond the nearly 4 hour runtime.
