The White River Craft Center is offering a two weekend weaving workshop this February- a perfect time to learn a new craft for the remainder of winter!
This is an Introduction to Weaving & Open Studio course, which will cover learning the basics that turn yarn into a finished piece of fabric. Intermediate weavers are also encouraged to join and pursue an independent project with the help of experienced instructor, Susan Rockwell.
Beginning weavers will learn how to use a loom, measure a warp, dress the loom, and weave a sampler of different weave patterns, yarns and colors. The course will include the preparation and interpreting of weaving drafts and participants will plan a project of their own from beginning to end. Susan will introduce resources to help continue your weaving at home.
For intermediate weavers interested in participating, you may contact the instructor with a project you would like to weave.
