The North Country Chorus invites all potential singers to a read-through of the libretto of "Considering Matthew Shepherd" on Tuesday, January 7, at 7:15 pm in St. Johnsbury Academy's Morse Center for the Arts in the band room. This "modern-day Passion" by Craig Hella Johnson will be the Chorus' spring concert in May. It is a moving, powerful, and uplifting work that explores human hate and bigotry around us and within ourselves through the painful circumstances of Matthew Shepard's murder. The music is eclectic in style with solo and small ensemble opportunities throughout.
