Morrisville author Brenda Snow, who writes under the name Grannie Snow, will visit Morristown Centennial Library on Wednesday, April 16 at 3:30 to present her picture book Big Ole Striped Silas. Brenda will read and talk about the book and answer questions from children and parents. Signed copies will be available for $11.65 including tax. The program is recommended for ages 4-8.
Big Ole Striped Silas, illustrated by Vermont artist Matthew Gauvin, tells the story of a grandmotherly woman who decides to look for a new cat after grieving the loss of her previous one. Snow has been featured in The Stowe Reporter and on WCAX TV, and has completed a successful reading tour. The Silas books are being made into a series and her second book, Silas Gets a Sister, will be available in June.
This event is a great opportunity for book and animal lovers, and a chance to meet and support a local author. For more information about Brenda and her books, visit http://thesilasseries.com/the-books/. Please contact 888-3853 or youthservices@centenniallibrary.org for any questions.
