The January book discussion was on the book Flight Behavior which deals with Monarch Butterflies. To follow up on the book discussion Jerry Schneider, creator of the award winning Butterfly Game, will do a beautiful slide presentation about Eastern butterflies. Audiences will learn about the difference between butterflies and moths, where to find butterflies, how to attract butterflies to our gardens, and how to create and maintain butterfly habitat. We will learn interesting butterfly facts and behaviors (Did you know that butterflies taste with their feet?). Learn about the science behind the book. There will be treats from the Magic Spoon Bakery. The program is supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
