On January 18th from 9:00-4:00PM a writing workshop at the Maple Corner Community Center in Calais will explore the topic of "Aging." All ages and writing experience welcome. How we talk about time and age can be challenging. Is aging freeing, confining, creative? What are the stories we tell ourselves about aging? What is old? What is age? We will employ our imaginations and the tools of language to help bring your thoughts and ideas to the page. We will use reading examples, work with prompts, and delve into what comes alive on the page and why.
We ask people to bring a bag lunch. We will supply breakfast, coffee, snacks, fruit, and drinks. Lunch will include a 15-minute stretch or walk. Cost for the day is: $95.00
You must sign up on or before January 6, 2020 to participate.
The workshop will be facilitated by Tamar Cole and Janet Pocorobba, writers and writing coaches in the area.
