Journalist and author Judith D. Schwartz will be speaking at the Huntington Public Library on January 5th at 4:00 p.m. on the subject of how restoring natural processes can mitigate the effects of climate change. Her two books, "Cows Save the Planet" and "Water in Plain Sight, Hope for a Thirsty World" have both explored the concept of how restoring soil, and the abundant life it contains, can remove carbon from the air and restore it to the ground, and in the process manage the water vapor in the atmosphere that controls the Earth's temperature. Judith has traveled the world to thoroughly research soil's role as a hub in climate change and her talk is sure to be fascinating.
Hope to see you there!
