The Castleton Free Library is very pleased that Rabbi Ellie Shemtov, the spiritual leader at the Rutland Jewish Center, has agreed to lead our Chanukah program this year on Monday, December 23rd at 5:30 pm. Rabbi Shemtov joined the center last summer, and she was a librarian before becoming a rabbi! This introduction to the cultural and religious traditions of Chanukah will include background, songs, menorah lighting, and some food. It is intended to bring people together - any age, any faith - to learn from each other and build understanding. Please join us! Free, open to all and accessible.
