Concert to Benefit the Homeless and the Hungry

On Tuesday, December 17 at 7:00 PM, at the Middlebury United Methodist Church (corner of Rte. 7 and Seminary Street), join us for the annual holiday concert to benefit the homeless and hungry neighbors in our community.

Many Addison County faith organizations are once again collaborating to put on a fantastic program, including secular works, and sacred music from the Christian, Jewish, Baha'i and other traditions.

The audience will of course get the chance to sing our favorite Christmas hymns, and we will have special performances by our teen and pre-teen singers. All ages will enjoy the show, and the refreshments served afterward. There is no admission fee, but all donations will benefit the Charter House Coalition, because the Methodist Church is kindly absorbing all expenses.

Charter House – on the Middlebury town green – works 365 days a year to provide shelter for the homeless, meals for the hungry, and social support to help get lives back on track. We served over 40,000 meals this past year. And on any given night, up to 24 individual adults, and five families with children, find a warm place to sleep, nourishing meals, and the community and support that can make all the difference.

Charter House is a genuine Coalition. The work gets done - and the financial support comes in - from scores of dedicated volunteers, faith based and civic organizations, kind citizens, and local partnering social service agencies and government departments. And now, we welcome you to help us to celebrate the Joy of the Season of Light in the Darkness, with your voice joining ours! See you Tuesday night!!
