This week's program is the last of this session of OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute). The film ''The Quiet American'' (2002) will be shown. This is the third of the three films based on the work of author Graham Greene. It features Greene's original ending and treatment of the protagonist Pyle, in contrast to the earlier 1958 film version. This film adds a montage of superimposed images of American soldiers from the intervening decades of the Vietnam War.

Our weekly talks will begin again on Jan. 22. I'll be posting the program in mid-January.
