To our Addison County Community-Please join us on Thursday, December 12 at 8:00 am in Middlebury for a free community breakfast and presentation hosted by the Counseling Service of Addison County, United Way of Addison County and Addison County Economic Development Corporation. Economist Dr. Art Woolf will be speaking about the impact of Vermont's aging population. Low birth rates and a shrinking workforce are affecting schools, businesses, service providers, and the tax base, impacting Vermont's economic and social structures. A former state economist and UVM professor emeritus of economics, Dr. Woolf has studied and written about this trend for many years. He will explore these implications for Addison County and our state. Breakfast treats, coffee and tea will be served, and the public is cordially invited.
