Community Conversation: School Board in Shoreham

Past event
Dec 17, 2019, 6 to 8 PM

Join other Shoreham residents to ask questions, get information, and have our voices heard - locally! There are many ideas for the future of Shoreham Elementary and our school district - this discussion focuses on the issues that matter to our community members.

Submit questions for board representatives by 12/13, in person at the school, library, and town office, by email (shorehamcommunitypartnership@gmail.com), or on this google form: https://forms.gle/De1829QFx9i2neEH9.
(Missed the deadline? Don't worry! There will be time for additional questions and comments.)

Now that Addison Central School District includes nine schools across seven towns, the school board is discussing a Facilities Master Plan. The stated purpose is to "ensure that investments in our buildings support student learning objectives," and there are several options being weighed to meet this goal. Visit the ACSD website for more information about the Facilities Master Plan.

Board members will answer prepared questions, and listen to feedback in an open forum. The discussion will be facilitated by town moderator Will Stevens, and covers questions submitted by our community members.

Light refreshments, coffee, and free childcare are provided by the Shoreham Community Partnership, a school initiative open to all that aims to strengthen the connection between students, families, educators, and the wider Shoreham community.

This event is coordinated by the Shoreham Community Partnership using Title 1 funds.
