Fran Thomas will talk about and show slides of Portugal on Thursday, December 12 at 1:30, at Richmond Free Library. She'll take us on a circular tour of Portugal featuring coastline and interior cities. She'll also include visits to such attractions as the Ossuary Chapel in Evora, its walls covered with thousands of human bones and skulls, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in Fátima, the Church of São Francisco in Porto, the city's most important Gothic monument from the 14th century, Jeronimos Monastery in Lisbon, and the tree production & processing of cork.
