VT Reads Community Book Discussion

Past event
Dec 19, 2019, 12 to 1 PM

How does just one person change the world? What gives a person the courage to face adversity? How does one stay nonviolent in the midst of violence? These are questions that may emerge from reading March: Book One, John Lewis's graphic novel with Andrew Aydin and illustrated by Nate Powell. The Orwell and Benson community is invited for a discussion of civil rights, civil discourse, resistance, racism, and more. Whether you grew up in the Civil Rights era or are from a new generation of Americans, March will provoke, stir your emotions, and open your eyes.

Lunch will be provided to all participants. Books are available at the Orwell Free Library. Call for details, 948-2041.
