This 50+ year old chorus includes a number of Essex residents, myself one of them, and rehearses in Essex Jct.! Its singers share a passion for many centuries of a cappella music (voice only) and artistic excellence.
Interim music director Steven Klimowski has prepared a program to highlight music first about people's love for each other and then the divine love of the Christmas story, with sacred and secular text settings including poetry of Sara Teasdale and Howard Thurman set by composers of the Renaissance, Baroque, and Romantic periods, as well as contemporary composers Pavel Chesnokov, John Joubert, Arvo Pärt, Dan Forrest, Ola Gjeilo, Ēriks Ešenvalds, and Martin Åsander.
