The St. Albans Community Justice Center and Parallel Justice Program are hosting a Comedy for a Cause on Saturday, April 12th, at 7:00 PM at Twiggs Gastropub in St. Albans.
What is the Parallel Justice Program? The Parallel Justice Program helps victims recover from an incident of crime. Program staff receive referrals from police and reach out directly to victims, offering information and referral, advocacy, and modest financial support to address the damages that resulted from the crime. We currently receive referrals from the St. Albans and State Police (St. Albans barracks) but are considering expansion to other police departments of Franklin County.
Tickets for Comedy for a Cause are $15 and all funds raised from the event go directly to the Parallel Justice Fund (financial support to victims). To purchase a ticket, contact the Community Justice Center at 524-7006. Come out and support a great project, help your neighbors recover from crime, and share some laughs.
