Burlington Writers Workshop Offers a "Baker's Dozen"

Past event
Dec 8, 2019, 1 to 3:30 PM

Burlington Writers Workshop published authors and songwriters will entertain with short readings and live music from 1 to 3:30 PM on Sunday, December 8 at the Fletcher Free Library in Burlington. Since its founding in 2009, the Burlington Writers Workshop (BWW) has provided thousands of free writing workshop sessions to anyone in and around Vermont from aspiring writers to published pros. Among the more than 2,000 BWW members on Meetup, there are quite a few published authors and recorded songwriter/musicians. You can meet many of them and get a chance to buy a signed copy of a book or CD by your favorite Vermont author in their annual "Holiday Book & Cookie Fest." Eleven authors and two songwriters will provide entertainment in the form of short readings and live music throughout the afternoon. Several other BWW authors will have their titles available for purchase.

The BWW has also published annual anthologies comprised of poetry, short stories, and non-fiction. These works appear in the "Best of the Burlington Writers Workshop," "Cold Lake Anthology" and "Mud Season Review"--all of which will be for sale at special holiday pricing. Many of the writers are also bakers, so a variety of home-baked cookies will be available for sale as single snacks or by the dozen to support the all-volunteer organization. Learn more about BWW and find a calendar of the ongoing free, writers workshops they provide in Burlington, Montpelier and Middlebury at BurlingtonWritersWorkshop.com.
