The Vermont Fiddle Orchestra will hold its Winter Concert on Saturday December 7th at 7 PM at the Montpelier City Hall. Peter Macfarlane will be the guest soloist. Macfarlane has been a member of the band Atlantic Crossing for over 20 years, and will bring a strong dose of Scottish music to be performed at the VFO concert. Admission is by donation thanks to generous support from Vermont Mutual Insurance Company, Northfield Savings Bank and the City of Montpelier.

The orchestra's Artistic Director, David Kaynor has been challenged with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), though he's still leading the Orchestra. To help defray medical costs, the Orchestra will be raffling a prize winning music-themed quilt at the concert—though you don't need to be present to win.
