Have you thought about appearing onstage? If so, here's your chance. Come to Chandler Sunday December 1st to audition for its January 25th benefit: a one-night only staged reading to raise money for Vermont CARES.
This year we'll be presenting "The Drag: A Homosexual Comedy in Three Acts", written by renowned movie star Mae West in 1927. This controversial, melodramatic comedy ran for only 10 performances before being shut down for "indecency", as it portrayed homosexuals and gender-diverse people on stage.
A dozen folks with no to some to much acting experience are needed for this campy but earnest piece by Ms. West, the mother of racy innuendo.
To express interest, write to director Tess Holbrook Tess.E.Holbrook@gmail.com or producer Sharon Rives kenrives@gmail.com for more information and/or to sign up for a time slot between 10 AM and 2 PM on Sunday 12/1.
Since this will be a staged reading, rehearsals will be limited and will be determined based on cast-member and director schedules.
Do consider taking part. We promise fun with other cast members, great home-made snacks, and a small stipend.
