Want some warm scones & hot tea on a cold November Saturday? Been thinking of a way to get together with friends in a festive setting? Interested in hearing some classic Scottish tunes? Hoping to find some delicious baked goods you can enjoy for Thanksgiving or the holiday season? The Annual Scottish Tea at the First Presbyterian Church in Barre is that place for you and yours this Saturday Nov. 23! Come any time between 10 a.m and 2 p.m. to enjoy tea (or coffee), scones, shortbread, crumpets and oatcakes. Experience a taste of Scotland right in our own back yard.

In the words of Scottish poet, Robert Burns,
"But pleasures are like poppies spread,
You seize the flower, its blossom is shed.
Or like the snow falls in the river,
A moment white - then melts forever."
