Memorable Times Cafe Wed. Nov. 20 at VT History Center

Past event
Nov 20, 2019, 1:30 to 3 PM

Our next Memorable Times Cafe is on Wednesday, 11/20. The theme is "Gratitude". Perhaps you'd like to bring a poem or passage or song to share that evokes what you are grateful for. Have you saved a great holiday letter or a special thank you note? Receiving gratitude is something to celebrate, too!

The cafe is free and provides refreshments, music, good company and much to enjoy. Hope to see you there!

Memorable Times Café is a relaxed social time for people living with mild to moderate memory loss, and their care partners. A dementia-friendly community event, it is free and open to the public. Cafés are held on the third Wednesday of each month, from 1:30 to 3 PM, in the Community Room at the Vermont History Center, 60 Washington Street, in Barre. Memorable Times Café is sponsored by the Central Vermont Council on Aging in partnership with the ABLE Library of the Vermont Department of Libraries and area volunteers.

Participants enjoy social time and refreshments, as well as opportunities to share stories, music, movement and laughter. ABLE Library staff are available to facilitate access to "talking books" and other resources.

Please note that the Memory Café is not a drop-off or adult day care program. Each participant is expected to be accompanied by a care partner.
