Let's Talk. Our Towns. Our Schools. Our Future

Past event
Nov 20, 2019

Friends and neighbors, please join us on Wednesday, November 20 for the 3rd community conversation sponsored by the Community Engagement Committee of the Mount Abraham Unified School District (MAUSD) School Board. We will be sharing a State of the District (enrollment trends, student outcomes and financial predictions) and providing an opportunity for informed deliberation and community feedback about a range of possible options for our facilities.

This conversation is relevant not just to families with children in, or soon to be enrolled in, our school system, but to all residents of our Five Towns. Our education system is a community asset, and one in which all taxpayers invest. It's important that we have as many voices represented as possible, as we contemplate future options.

This meeting will be held in the Mount Abraham Middle/High School large cafeteria. Join us for refreshments and music by the ELP/MCMS youth orchestra at 5:30. The meeting is from 6-8:30pm. We are offering free childcare as well. We strongly encourage all attendees to review the materials on the Community Engagement website prior to coming, especially "Shaping our future together" - a presentation which includes demographic and financial info as well as possible facilities scenarios. This presentation can also be found in the District Office on Munsill Ave in Bristol, as well as throughout the Five Towns in general stores, town offices and at all district schools.
