The Manchester Community Library is pleased to host Tracey Medeiros for a freewheeling discussion of her life as a chef and farm-focused cookbook author. Medeiros has written five cookbooks including The Vermont Non-GMO Cookbook, The Vermont Farm Table Cookbook, and Dishing Up Vermont. Maria Reade, managing editor of Edible Green Mountains magazine and a NOFA-VT Ag Education Outreach Coordinator, will draw out Medeiros' myriad stories of her travels around Vermont meeting farmers and chefs. Using local ingredients and recipes from The Vermont Non-GMO Cookbook, Medeiros and Reade will prepare a quartet of dishes for guests to sample. The event will take place on Sunday November 17 from 3 to 4:30 pm. Admission is free and open to the public. Medeiros' cookbooks will be available for purchase as well.
