Maps of Dummerston
with David Greenewalt

DATE: Tuesday, November 12
TIME: 7 PM
MEETING PLACE: Downstairs in Dummerston Church,
corner of Middle and East West Rd.
FREE: CHILDREN ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.

The Conservation Commission has been intensively studying maps of Dummerston for several months. Through this process we have become aware of how little we know about our town, things we should know if we are to make good decisions about our town into the future. Enjoy an evening with David Greenewalt studying maps of Dummerston, maps from the very earliest days to current maps that, using the latest technology, show land features and attributes that will likely surprise you. You will have an opportunity to study maps closely and ask questions.

David Greenewalt moved to Dummerston in 2002. He is interested in maps and the role of computers and programming in their production using GIS. He has been making tax maps for towns in southern Vermont for the past 20 years. Previously, he worked at the Windham Regional Commission producing maps, where he was introduced to GIS.
