'Tis the season to give the gift of warmth!
The Youth Group at Blessed Sacrament Church would like to invite you to join our Warm Winter Clothing Drive for Lamoille County. Winter is approaching fast, and it's a great time to sort out your past season winter clothing collection and find a new home for those unloved, unused or grown-out-of warm winter gear.
By donating clean, new or like-new winter clothing, you are supporting adults and children within our own community, who are in in need of a helping hand to stay warm this winter.
Winter clothing donations will be accepted at the Parish Hall at Blessed Sacrament Church, 728 Mountain Road, Stowe on Thursday 7th November 3-6.30pm and Friday 15th November 4-8pm. We are accepting the following items in clean, new or like-new condition for adults and children:
Coats and jackets
Winter hats and beanies
Gloves and scarves
Winter boots and warm socks
Thermal base layers
Other warm winter clothing
Winter clothing items should be donated in clean (laundered), new or like-new condition. Clothing should function like-new (e.g. zippers should work; all buttons should be in place; no rips/tears; no large stains). Additionally, kindly check pockets for any hidden treasures before donating.
We are also seeking donations of general basics to help support those in need within our own local communities - particularly toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products etc. Or if you prefer to donate food (non-perishable) and household items, we can handle that too!
All are welcome to attend the drive on Saturday 16th November, in the Parish Hall from 10am-1pm, either to give or to take, or swap - drop and item and take an item!
Any items remaining at the end of the day will be redistributed specifically within Lamoille County to people and families in need and shelters.
Thanks in advance for your generosity!
