Singer-Songwriter Cosy Sheridan to Play Tinmouth's Old Firehouse Next Saturday
Cosy Sheridan will be coming to the Old Firehouse in Tinmouth on Saturday, April 5, at 7:30 -- a slight change in date from our usual Fridays. She has been called "one of the era's finest and most thoughtful singer-songwriters." Her concerts are wide-ranging explorations of modern mythology (meet Hades the Biker), love songs for adults, contemporary philosophy for the thoughtfully-minded and her signature parody on aging and women. Her lyrical dexterity is backed by her distinctive, percussive bluesy-gospel guitar style. Cosy, a New Englander by birth, now lives in Moab Utah, but tours all over the country. "/She is a wonderfully lively, very funny and enormously amiable entertainer with a keen and wicked eye for the excesses of our fast-food, tv-happy and noisome culture." - The Boston Globe/
The Old Firehouse is next to the Town Office on Mountain View Road in downtown Tinmouth. Doors will open at 7 PM. Suggested Donation of $10, 90% of which goes to the performer. The balance pays the town for the use of the building. Desserts, coffee and tea will be offered by the Tinmouth Handbell Ensemble to raise funds for their activities.
