Brush Brook Community Farm Flood Recovery Work Day

Past event
Nov 10, 2019, 2 to 5 PM

Greetings Friends and Neighbors,

There have been opportunities this week to take stock of great loss for many in town. Here at the farm, when the Brush Brook jumped its banks, it flowed through the greenhouses where we had stored the winter's worth of hay(42 round bales), soaking the bales in a foot or more of water. The bales are already partially destroyed. In order to save the tops of the bales from molding also, we are hoping to tip them up onto pallets to encourage drying.

So, here is the request:

Flood Cleanup and Salvage Work Day -- Sunday Nov. 10, 2-5pm

Brush Brook Community Farm

Seeking up to 40 pallets! Do you have a truck and access to pallets (Richmond Home Supply often has a pile)
The greenhouses are located at Jubilee Farm, just across the road from the bakery.

Many thanks,
Adam and the rest of the Brush Brook Community Farm Crew
