Restorative Justice is Alive and Well in Western Washington County!
Did you know?
The Montpelier Community Justice Center administers restorative justice programs in Waterbury, Moretown, Waitsfield, Duxbury, Fayston and Warren. Representatives of the Community Justice Center—including staff and community volunteers—will join with school administrators and Vermont State Troopers on November 14, 2019 at Harwood Union High School to talk about the restorative programs in your area and learn more about what the citizens of western Washington County would like to see offered. We hope to see you there!
• Learn how restorative justice helps people victimized by crime.
• Consider the advantages of mending relations by resolving an offense or neighborhood conflict restoratively.
• Meet the Waterbury Restorative Justice Panel volunteers.
• Find out how restorative practices in schools improve outcomes.
• Hear how restorative practices are used to support people coming back from prison.
• Share your perspectives on how the Community Justice Center can better understand your community's needs for restorative practices.
