Don't miss the local screening of DOWNSTREAM: THE EFFECTS OF PARENTAL INCARCERATION – A new film by Brad Salon, of Corinth, VT, on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Downstreet Community Space, 22 Keith Avenue, Barre.

This screening is free, and the film is appropriate for teens and adults. Seating is first come first served, the doors will open at 6:00pm, film begins at 6:30pm

Downstream is a one hour documentary film featuring the compelling stories of those left behind when a parent goes to prison. Vermont children and caregivers share their experiences, revealing the complex and emotional terrain they navigate in the wake of a parent's incarceration.

The film also includes the voices of a number of Vermont leaders and advocates whose perspectives help give larger context to the children's and family's stories. A discussion with some of those who appear in the film will follow the screening
