The second annual Veterans Day Luncheon will take place on Veterans Day, November 11th, from 12pm to 2pm, sponsored by The Association of Marlboro Parents, Marlboro Elementary School and Marlboro Cares. All veterans born or living in Marlboro are invited to attend this special celebration at the Community Center, where MES school children and Marlboro veterans will be together to celebrate the role that veterans play in our community and our country. The afternoon will include a program of recognition and appreciation and a delicious lunch with dessert. It will be a nice time for veterans to greet one another and be together. Veterans are encouraged to display service items, photos and other memorabilia that would be of interest to those gathered. They can also mark the locations of their stationing and deployment (if applicable). In addition to veterans living in Marlboro, we will welcome MES's 5th and 6th graders, as well as all the children of attending veterans, regardless of grade or age. Veterans' spouses and other family members are also welcome. Please RSVP to Judy at 257- 4215 or jrobinson@comingcleaninc.org so we know who will attend (so we can estimate the amount of food we want to prepare), and to let us know if you would like to share some memories with the gathering or have items from your service that you would like to display (so we may prepare the space).
