Energy Action Network (EAN) and VTDigger invite the public to a conversation with state leaders about the future of heating our homes and buildings.

Want to stay toasty, keep costs down and protect the environment this winter? Join VTDigger and EAN for a panel discussion with state leaders about best practices to heat homes and buildings.

Heating Vermont: Solutions for our Health, Economy, and Climate will take place on Wednesday, November 6, at the Fairbanks Museum in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. This event is free and open to the public and will start at 6:30 p.m. Light fare will be offered, as well as a cash bar.

Topics include weatherization and switching to renewable heating options to lower and stabilize fuel prices and keep more energy dollars in Vermont.

For a robust conversation on heating our homes and buildings to reduce costs, in terms of our economy, our health and our climate, join Sen. Andrew Perchlik, Washington County senator and director of the Clean Energy Development Fund; Rep. Scott Campbell, St. Johnsbury representative and former director of 3E Thermal; Emma Hanson, wood energy coordinator at the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources; and Rebecca Foster, director of Efficiency Vermont.

The event will kick off with a presentation by Jared Duval, EAN's executive director, with the latest progress report on Vermont's energy and emissions status and how thermal energy fits into the total energy and economic picture for Vermont. Discussion with state leaders and your questions about the future of thermal energy in Vermont will follow.

RSVPs are helpful for our planning. Please let us know if you'll be joining us. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/heating-vermont-solutions-for-our-health-economy-and-climate-ti[...]037
