Silent Auction of Gift Baskets on display Nov. 11 until Holiday Stroll, Sat. Dec. 7

We will be assembling the baskets Sunday, Nov. 10th. 10 AM to 6 PM

Lunch provided if you wish to join the fun of playing Santa's helper in putting the baskets together. Sign up for a time good for you.

How else can you contribute?

Could your family assemble a themed-basket and donate it to our cause? Make up a basket that you would bid on.

How about "Movie Night"—hot cocoa, popcorn, Amazon gift card. "Game Night"-youth game and gift cert. for pizza. Sports Team memorabilia . "Kids Garden"—seed packets of easy to grow flowers & veggies, peat pots, soil and kid-size gloves "Pet Patrol"—dog themed basket with treats, toys, leash. "Paws for Kitty"—catnip toy, kitty dishes, gift card(for cat food) We can shrink wrap for you

Do you have unused gift cards kicking around? We could use them as standalone items.

Do you have a creative art or culinary talent to share? Homemade jam, knitting, crocheting, potpourri, pottery, sewing, basket weaving, needle felting ?

How will we spend your donation? We fund special projects that are needed but not included in the Library Trustees' operating budget. Most recently, that meant

* Gold sponsorship of the Bixby Gala
*Promotion of early literacy by monetary donation to Addison County readers through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library
*Sponsorship of the Maiden Vermont performance at the 2018 Holiday Stroll celebration at the Bixby
* Purchased shelves for storage in the basement
* Paid for continuing education for library staff
*Sponsorship of party to promote new circulation policy for Cards for Kids
