Bank Stabilization Workshops

Are you concerned about eroding riverbanks? Come and join the Missisquoi River Basin Association for three bank stabilization workshops next week. Monday, November 4th: join the MRBA and the Franklin County Natural Resources Conservation District as we build willow fascines from 9:30am to 3:30pm at Bittersweet Valley Farm in Fairfield (3050 Dodd Rd., Fairfield). Tuesday, November 5th: join our two organizations again from 9:15am to 3:30am as we install the willow fascines, along with live stakes and around 90 trees, to stabilize a bank at ~50 River Rd in Fairfax (watch for a gated road and several cars near this estimated address). On Wednesday, November 6th: join the MRBA to discover all the details of planting riparian buffers - from selecting the right species, to ensuring that those trees survive to work their magic on the streambank. We will be planting 75 trees in Enosburg Falls at 1267 Enosburg Mountain Road. More information can be found on our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/417228675644756/
