Ready to slow down and rejuvenate? Discover ~ or rediscover ~ the practice of yoga with this accessible class series.
In a welcoming, relaxed & inclusive setting, students will be mindfully introduced to the physical postures of yoga, along with the importance & benefits of conscious breath, meditation and the underlying guiding principles, with a focus on building body awareness.
This five weeks series offers participants the space to dive into the the basics of hatha yoga and learn about:
Asana (yoga postures): alignment, variations and use of props
Pranayama (breathwork): techniques to calm the mind and heal the body
Yoga philosophy: the yogic path to a happy and fulfilled life
Meditation: simple techniques for everyday life
With plenty of space for inquiry and exploration, this strong foundation will empower students to know themselves more deeply and to modify the practice to fit their own unique needs ~ both in studio classes and home practice.
All bodies welcome. Yoga mats and props available for use. See you on the mat!
