On Monday November 18 at 9:30 am Townshend Community Food Shelf will host the Seventh Annual Turkey Drop.

Each $5 donation is tied to a one square foot "deed" on the side of the Townshend Church.

We will drop a "stuffed turkey" from the high windows of the Townshend Church while spectators gather to see where it lands. The person "owning" the square where the turkey drops, wins!

You may buy as many tickets as you wish and need not be present to win. Prior to the release of the turkey there will be a flock of warm up chickens with prizes donated by local businesses. Proceeds from the Turkey Drop will be used to defray the cost of holiday, Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets for the Townshend Community Food Shelf.

Get your tickets between 10 am and 1 pm every Saturday at the River Bend Farm Market in Townshend.

Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.

We are also accepting donations of frozen turkeys! Mondays from 6 - 7 pm or call 365-4348 to arrange a drop-off time.
