Lots of food with no market due to bruises and imperfections goes to waste. Salvation Farms is working to change that by gleaning leftovers from farmer's fields and making it useable for food shelfs and those in need. Please join us this friday, November 1st at Arts Riot in Burlington for the first ever Salvation Farms benefit. Based on Farm Aid, local musicians will be playing sets of their favorite classic rockers: Marie Claire w/Swale play Bonnie Raitt, The Bill Mullins Band does The Kinks, John Fusoc & The X-Road Riders channel John Mellencamp, Seth Yacovone does Neil Young and Blues For Breakfast do Bob Dylan, all capped off with a super jam session. Admission is $20, all funds going to help this wonderful organization. A silent auction will have many tasty items, including a signed and framed Phish poster. Hope to see you there.
