Poet Benjamin Myers will be a keynote speaker and poetry workshop leader. Benjamin has published several collections of poetry, and his poems have also appeared in The Yale Review, Image, 32 Poems, Measure, The Christian Century, and elsewhere. His essays and reviews have been published in First Things and Books and Culture. He teaches at Oklahoma Baptist University.
The featured musicians in 2019 will include Katy Bowser Hutson and Kenny Hutson. Katy has written and performed with Rain for Roots and Coal Train Railroad. Kenny is a member of the band Crowder, and in the past has toured with both Over the Rhine and Vigilantes of Love. Katy and Kenny will give the pre-conference concert, and also lead a songwriting workshop at the conference.
