St. Johnsbury Recreation and the St. Johnsbury Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce the return of the "Black Friday 5K" on Friday, November 29th. The race will start at 10:00 AM at the St. Johnsbury Welcome Center. The course is flat and fast, heading south on Rt. 5, turning left onto South Main Street, and then right onto the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail to a turn-around point just before the second tunnel on the rail trail. The event is an effort to bring the community together for fun and fitness as well as to encourage folks to visit our beautiful, historic downtown and avoid the hustle and bustle of big box stores during the holiday shopping season. Consider this event an early jump on Small Business Saturday! We hope you will consider taking part in this fun event as a participant or volunteer.
