Lights Shining in the Darkness at All Souls Interfaith Gathering~Sunday, November 3rd
Service from 5pm-6pm | Extended Kirtan after 6:30pm-8:30pm

All Souls Interfaith Gathering welcomes the Vermont Hindu Temple for a service exploring lightness within the darkness. Reverend Don Chatfield and Reverend Kim Marie Glynn will weave the service, which will include prayers, words, meditation, and will feature kirtan chanting led by Shelburne resident, Jeanette Bacevius, accompanied by guitarist and recording artist, Raphael Groten.

The Vermont Hindu Temple is a non-profit public organization founded by a group of Bhutanese-Nepali refugees to celebrate and promote Hindu culture and values in Vermont. vermonthindutemple.org

Extended Kirtan after the service from 6:30-8:30PM by donation and open to all.

Kirtan is a practice of chanting mantras and sacred song through call and response usually accompanied by musical instruments and drums. Kirtan is traditionally sung in Sanskrit and comes from India and Hinduism.

There will be light puja and refreshments and attendees are welcome to bring their own food to eat during the short break if needed.

All Souls Interfaith Gathering is located at 291 Bostwick Farm Rd. in Shelburne.
