Identity Theft: It May Happen to You

Your identity might be stolen! Learn about how it happens and why it occurs on Tuesday, November 12 at 7 pm at the Jeudevine Library. This program also provides instruction on protective steps and explains what to do if it happens. Identity theft does not have to be a complete take-over of your identity to be effective for the scammer and we address that also. This presentation is includes techniques used by identity thieves who commit fraud using stolen information.

The presenters are Bill and Susan April who each have over 40 years' experience in the computer industry. Bill was the IT specialist for Central Vermont Medical Center working to keep the medical system computers free from hacking. The program is sponsored by AARP.
