Interpersonal meditation is the practice of discovering and training new mindful ways of relating with others. Led by meditation teacher Miles Bukiet, we will practice directly the art of seeing and being seen in relationship without needing to change ourselves or others. Often by dropping our views and slipping deeper into the immediate experience of relationships, a doorway to a world beyond words opens. This provocative, and alternately unnerving and deeply calming practice of interpersonal meditation will be complemented by traditional silent sitting practices. The practice is done with others in pairs, small groups, and large groups. The day offers an introduction to the world of interpersonal-meditation, an excellent way to integrate and bring our mindfulness practice off of the cushion into everyday relationships. It is open to people with any and all level of meditation experience, including total beginners.
