11am "Hive Mind" -Workshop #1 with Toby Macnutt
Some problems are solved better with friends. Each of us has knowledge and experience, and together we know a whole lot. We'll share resources and needs as a full group, and workshop specific questions in small groups - talking through a place a group member's project feels stuck. Budgeting? Marketing? Venues? Something else? If you have a project or idea that seems impossible or roadblocked, bring it with you!
12pm BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch) and enjoy/participate/watch lunch time performances! Want to perform? Email info@vermontdance.org after you submit your registration!
1pm Learn the shape of VDA: membership, benefits, engagement, involvement.
2:30pm "Dunham Technique: A Way of Life" Workshop #2 with Patricia Wilson
Dance can be used as a tool for creating active citizenship. This participatory workshop, with discussion and dancing, will introduce the theories, philosophies, and basic movement vocabulary of the Dunham Technique, based on the work of dance pioneer Katherine Dunham. As an activist, she considered her technique to be "a way of life" and community building is in the root system of the technique.

4:30pm Networking Social
5pm Clean up and Goodbye
