Fast-Track "Thriller" and More!
Wed. Oct. 30th - 3:30-6:30

If you like to be scared just a little, join us at our after-school Halloween bash for kids from 3:30-6:30 on Wednesday, October 30th. The event is free , but please register by Tue.10/29. Either call (468-5574), email ( castletonfreelibrary@gmail.com ), or send a Facebook message. We need to know names and ages of kids, and emergency contact information to help us plan the fun. The afternoon will include a variety of activities (see below), with participants divided into two groups by age. Late arrival is okay if we know ahead. Parents are invited but not required to stay. We'll need to know about food allergies if parents don't stay. Workshop leaders are dancer/visual artist Zoe Marr-Hilliard & children's librarian Jan Jones.

The plan:
● Several simple crafts
● A "friendly" zombie costume station with optional face paint (no fake blood or horror – this is for all ages!)
● Pizza and cider snack
● Zoe's "Thriller" dance workshop (crash course version). In this annual homage to Michael Jackson, participants will learn the famous zombie dance. If we have enough participants for two groups, Jan will share Halloween stories with the resting group. Finally, if weather cooperates, we'll take it outside to the front lawn for a flash-mob style performance, inviting all arriving parents and random strangers to join in.

The spooky books are on display. And we'll also be open on Halloween for trick-or-treaters!
