A public meeting to discuss the 'Irish Hill Road Bridge & Sidewalk project' will take place at 6:30 PM on Monday, November 14 in the Pierson Library Community Room. Please mark this date on your calendar, and if you have any interest in the project, please attend!
The need for a safer connection between Shelburne village and growing neighborhoods located east of Shelburne Falls was first studied in 2011. The result of the study was a plan to construct improvements along portions of Falls Road and Irish Hill Road.
The Town has a received a grant from the Vermont Agency of Transportation to help pay for the improvements. The Town has hired an engineering firm—Stantec—to design the improvements and help advance a project to completion.
The meeting will be hosted by the Shelburne Bike and Pedestrian Paths Committee and will include presentations as well as plenty of time for questions and answers.
