The Selectboard will be hosting informational visits at each of the three proposed building sites: the Four Corners for the Town Office and Library; the current firehouse site for the new Firehouse; and the 577 West Street property for the Garage, Salt/Sand storage, and Transfer Station. Come on Saturday morning November 2 (9:00 to noon) for refreshments and conversations, and see the possibilities at each of the three locations.

As we hear about community questions, we'll provide as much information as we can. One fact to start with is that all of these proposed projects will be owned by the Town, and their final designs and construction will be approved by the Selectboard. Although the Building Committee and the Fire Association and the Highway Department and the Solid Waste Alliance will have done significant work to propose their projects' preliminary designs, the Selectboard will ultimately have to make decisions about exactly what the Town builds at each location. We expect that every single project group will get most but not all of what it wants, in an effort to balance ideal conditions with financial responsibility.
